In partnership with the Service Retraités in Ivry-sur-Seine’s city and at the invitation of the Contemporary art center of Ivry - le Crédac, the artist Nicolas Floc’h elaborates an artistic workshop with the retired people from the Croizat residence.
In parallel with the regular accompanying of the retired people in the art center’s exhibitions, Nicolas Floc’h has thought throughout the year a project promoting meetings and exchanges. The malleable forms and desires have evolved to lead to the realization of sandstone sculptures on which were engraved memories, dreams, thoughts … These sculptures were fired on June 20, 2012 in a temporary paper kiln made by the artist in the courtyard of the Manufacture des Œillets, according to a singular and experimental process. They were then permanently installed in the garden of the residence.
