J’ouïe ma ville
Fanny Adler
As part of a Cultural Action Project (class at PAC), the artist Fanny Adler was invited by the Centre d’art contemporain d’Ivry - le Crédac to work with the visual arts workshop 6e - 5e of Molière College, directed by Elisabeth Leroy-Viniane.
The artist Fanny Adler makes the young participants aware of listening to their city and the sensitive, individual and/or collective experiences linked to it. The project evolve on the basis of a plastic and sound research considering the relationship of young people with the urbanity and their daily life in this context. The aim is to produce an audio-guide materializing these issues in a both poetic and real-life way. This audio-guide offers a journey through the city, made up of sound descriptions of each place chosen by each of the young people. The personal investment of the children, the authenticity of their choices, their inscription in the territory were the interest of this experience. The project at the Espace Gérard Philipe, with an exhibition and the availability of the audio-guide for downloading, highlights the place of young people in their city and encourages them to participate in the construction of their living space.
