Découvrir un centre d'art contemporain francilien

This inter-school project allows middle and high school students to discover an art center near their school and to learn about this place dedicated to culture during one school year. Through visits to three exhibitions and a practical workshop on a subject raised by one of the artists, and with the support of the Bureau des publics team, the students develop their ability to grasp works of art in a sensitive manner and to develop a critical and reasoned argument.

Based on their discovery of the exhibition Pour les pieuvres, les singes et les Hommes, by Japanese artist Shimabuku at the end of 2018, students from Jeanne d’Arc Middle School in Kremlin-Bicêtre developed throughout the school year a work related to choreographic gesture based on the titles of works selected in the exhibition. After seven workshop sessions over a period of several months, and the discovery and study of the different artistic forms presented in the Crédac exhibitions, the teenagers made four short films in which they acted out the visual vocabulary they had imagined from the titles of the works.
