Mặt trời đen
Que Chi Truong
Mặt trời đen, 2012. Video, colour, sound, 12’ 55”.
In his first short fiction film, Que Chi Truong films a young couple adrift in the urban jungle of Vietnam’s largest city, Ho Chi Minh City. They hum Mặt trời đen (black sun), a rock song that expressed the pessimism of the youth of the Republic of South Vietnam, before the country’s unification in 1975.
