Late Autumn
Quynh Dong
Late Autumn, 2015. Video, colour, sound, 15’.
In contrast to the most kitschy works, the imagery of Late Autumn is diaphanous. The red-clad figure of Quynh Dong appears and fades in cycles, like the leaves slowly falling from this already bare tree. The solemnity of these idle presences is matched by a melancholic soundtrack, played by two violins in dialogue.
