    Conference by Gilles A. Tiberghien

    Tuesday, 2 October 2012 at 7 PM
    – Multimedia Center of Ivry
Running time: 90 mn – Free admission.

In the mid-sixties many artists, mostly American, went out of galleries and museums to work in deserts and industrial suburbs, considering the nature both as a material and as a writing surface. Their approach taken in a broader social protest movement has deeply transformed the way we look at both art and nature. On the occasion of the new edition, revised and enlarged, of his book Land Art published by Carré editions, Gilles A. Tiberghien will describe the origin and the terms of such interventions known as Land Art.
